Comfortable, good food, helpful staff, especially when room key entry was broken, given another room immediately and free drinks tokens, Spa facilities nice and clean
rooms were large and comfortable, and most important no noise from other guests could be heard on our visit,so complete peace and quiet, just what we wanted
Wood fire in breakfast lounge.
Standard of food - almost everything is microwaved.
When in Aberdeen i always stay at this hotel because of the location and good food
staff where very friendly food was good as was spa
Enjoyed the use of the Spa Facilites, also had a massage which was very nice. Evening Meal in Bar very nice although service a wee bit slow. 12pm check out time is good
Bathroom needs a bit of updating, Bar was busy in the eveing, more than one person required to serve
Very comfortable, good sized room, leisure facilities good.
The restaurant meal was excellent.
There was a great deal of potpourri used to attempt to cover a musty, damp smell. But, of course, it is a castle, so this may be a normal condition.
It would have been nice to have a coke and ice machine on the premises. Since there was not, I had to go to the pub to get a coke for my room. That cost 3.50 pounds!!!! Way too much!!!
the hotel staff were welcoming and the lift to upstairs rooms was of great assistance.
thought the quality of breakfast whilst acceptable was not amongst the best I have had
Fantastic selection for breakfast, fresh decor in the hallways. Very helpful staff.
We were placed in ground floor on arrival and was sitting with a cup of tea and two workmen casually walked past our window, then it happenned a second time so I complained and was quickly moved to upper level. A lovely hotel, slighly overpriced!
A country house hotel with friendly staff in a lovely location. Rooms are spacious and there is a good-sized swimming pool as part of a leisure complex adjacent to the main hotel building.
The rooms could do with a lick of paint and the WiFi coverage was patchy in the room.
We enjoyed our romantic break, staff were friendly and helpful, the fine dining restaurant was gorgeous, one of the best meals I have ever had. Exuctive room was very nice, could not have asked for more. Grounds are in a beuatiful setting will stay again :)
Very pleasant hotel in its own parkland. Good service and food, the staff try hard. Excellent breakfasts, with smoked fish available.
The hotel is a busy conference centre so, alas, full of business people.
Lovely room in the old part of the hotel, characterful building
Heating in old part not very good (new wing much better)
